I don’t know if I’m just not using it properly but it just doesn’t seem to work for me. Instead, it leaves my hair feeling like it has had hairspray in it. I have heard good things about this product before but if you are expecting it to just instantly lift your roots and have no styling skills, this is not for you

Okay but use on wet hair.
If too much is added to the hair it will end up being sticky so don't overdue it. Spray at a good distance to get it all over the roots.
